In modern corporate life more and more emphasis is placed on presenting information quickly and effectively.
If you can not make your ideas understandable for other people what good are they?
What you know is less important than how well you communicate it.
Many well prepared presentations fail because the audience does not understand the material or are not engaged with the presenter.
Can you grab their attention, retain their interest and leave them knowing what they have to do?
With most people having a very short attention span, it is necessary to actively engage the audience so your message will be understood, remembered and acted upon.
Are you clear what it is that you want the audience to do at the end of your presentation?
Many presentations fail because the presenter is not clear what he wants the outcome to be. Just spouting facts and information is not enough.
Do you know what you want your presentation to achieve?
Many presentation skills training courses concentrate on how the material is delivered, we also focus on how information is received.
We can help you fully engage your audience and achieve the results you want from your presentations.

Do you get your ideas and thoughts across clearly? Do you always understand what others are explaining to you?
Our Communications Skills course can provide you with some of the techniques necessary for manoeuvring your way through every tricky or challenging interpersonal exchange that occurs within a home or work environment. It is all about communication and it always involves people.
In businesses and organisations more and more emphasis is being put on good communication,
the need to be able to express ones self clearly and effectively, whether it be via
email, telephone or talking face-
Have you ever found yourself saying:
“If only they did what I said everything would be fine. I have explained it to them numerous times, but they just don’t seem to get it.”
We believe that the responsibility for communication is in the hands of the communicator. In other words, if they didn’t hear it, you didn’t say it — or at least didn’t say it in a way that they could hear or understand it.
“I find Roger really difficult to talk to. He never has time to listen to what I want to say.”
For a great many situations we will naturally alter our approach, but sometimes we need an additional set of skills and strategies that we can call upon, to enable us to deal with unusual circumstances and certain types of individual.
When you understand your own preferences for communication, it is possible to identify the different ways you can interact with others and clarify the basis for good communication.
By the end of this course participants will:
Identify their own communication style
Be able to read others communication style
Feel more confident in their general communication skills
Understand the correct use of different the methods of communication i.e. face to face, telephone and email.

To be an effective influencer you first need to understand who you are trying to influence and what makes them tick. What is their communication and working style? What is important to them? What are their needs and wants?
Secondly, you must accept others as they are and then work to influence them in a way that suits their style and needs; rather than try and force your own preferences on them.
It is easy to think that what works for me will work for the other person. So if I am the kind of person who likes to receive lots of data and information, then I will likely use this method as part of my influencing tool kit. In actual fact, the person you are trying to influence may need very little data, but just wants to know who the work load will fall to. They don’t care about the fine detail, they only care if it will increase their workload.
We will arm you with the right information to be effective with people whose style differs from your own. We work with what you are already good at and then help you to modify and adapt your style to suit those whose style is not the same.
Often with Influencing – less is more. People don’t always want to know everything you know about a subject. They want to know what is in it for them.
Stepping outside your own ‘view of the world’ and into someone else’s shoes is the best way of become an effective influencer.
It is also important that you are aware of the environment in which you influence. We know that this is important for us too – so we will be sure to have all the information we need for your corporate culture to assist you in a very specific and bespoke way.
By the end of this course participants will:
Understand how you come across to others
How to read other peoples behaviour and body language
Learn the 6 steps to effective influencing
Understand what creates and blocks influence
Identify and use the “currencies” of influence
Influencing upwards and avoiding being manipulated
Know how to recover from being wrong footed
Have opportunities to apply the new techniques in practical situations

For most of us making a positive impact is an essential part of work and home life. Whether it is getting the most from your team, impressing the boss, trying to influence a potential customer, or just meeting new people, how we impact on others can be the reason for success or failure.
How do others see me?
The key to making a personal impact is on knowing how you come across to others. Our perception of self is often very different to how others see us. Once we understand our personal strengths and style it is possible to develop those strengths and adapt our style to suit everyone we interact with.
What can I do to affect others the way I want?
Not everyone wants to be treated the same way, so by being able to read others it is possible to affect them in the way we want and make a lasting impact. By looking at the way people think, act and feel you can gain precious insight in to how to affect them in the way you choose.
By the end of this course participants will:
Understand how you come across to others
Discover your personal style — strengths and weaknesses
Know how to use body language and your voice to greater effect
Develop greater confidence
Know how to read other peoples’ behaviour and body language
Understand what makes other people behave the way they do
Learn how to make the impact you want
Discover how to be memorable for the right reasons

You may have the best product in the world, but if you don’t know how to engage, influence and convince a potential client that what you have is better or different, you may struggle to win many business pitches.
There is a tendency when pitching to focus on the facts and details of the product rather than how it will make the client feel. People tend to buy a product when they have been stimulated emotionally as well as intellectually.
Pitching to new clients is not just about the product. As we have seen on the BBC’s
The Dragons Den, the dragons are not just looking for the right product, but also
the right person to work with. Your relationship with the client is key -
By working on both the intellectual and emotional levels it is possible to generate a sound and trusting relationship with a client. This will open up communication enabling you to identify both their emotional needs and business requirements.
By the end of this course participants will know how to:
Develop techniques that will engage and build rapport
Grab the attention of the audience
Develop greater confidence
Identify the potential clients emotional drivers and motivators
Promote your product in an intellectual and emotional manner
Make you and your product memorable
